Support Calibre Audio with your Will For Good
Millions of people in the UK are unable to read a print book due to visual impairment, dyslexia, or another condition which makes reading print difficult. However only 7% of print books are converted to audio which is the format that most print disabled people prefer to use.
Calibre believes that everyone should have the opportunity to lose themselves in a good book. For the young, Calibre audiobooks can assist with their learning, development and help them feel less excluded from their peers. For our elderly members, reading can prevent isolation and provide mental stimulation by giving them a link to the outside world.Around a third of Calibre’s work is funded by the generous gifts that people leave in their Wills. These gifts help Calibre provide a free audiobook lending service in a range of accessible formats to anyone who is unable to read print and add around 900 new titles each year to keep their collection up to date and interesting.
There’s no obligation to include a gift in your Will to Calibre, but anything you leave will help to enrich the quality of life and opportunities for thousands of people of all ages with a print disability.
