Good for friends. Good for family.

And good for charities like The Labour Party.

Support The Labour Party with your Will For Good

The Labour Party has been fighting for a better, fairer Britain for over 100 years. The Labour Party was formed to give ordinary people a voice and has sought power in order to improve their lives. The fruits of this work have changed Britain for the better, through the most progressive governments in our country’s history. Ours is a proud history, with achievements – from the NHS to the minimum wage – that have made a lasting difference to the lives of people across our country.

In the years and decades to come we will need a vibrant, well-funded Labour Party to ensure we can return successive Labour Governments who will preserve the values we hold dear. And while we are working hard for a Labour Government now, we must also make sure that The Labour Party we leave behind has everything it needs to be a champion of fairness and equality for years to come. Securing the party’s long term future means that, no matter the challenges ahead, no matter what form injustice takes, The Labour Party will always be there to ensure the UK is the best place to grow up and the best place to grow old in.

Your membership, generosity and activism are a huge part of our fight for a Labour Government and we are grateful for all you do. But it is important we are also planning for the longer term. Future gifts are vitally important as they enable the party to plan ahead for future elections and campaigns, like the General Election in 2024, and beyond. Once your loved ones are cared for, we would love you to consider supporting the party in your will.

If you wish to leave The Labour Party £500 or more, in order for the Party to accept your gift upon death, you will need to have been registered on UK Electoral Register for at least five years. The Labour Party also has a responsibility to notify the Electoral Commission of any gifts donated to the national Party above £7,500. If your gift does exceed this amount, your gift will appear on the Electoral Commission’s publicly visible online donation portal after your death.

How it works

1. Click the Start your will online button

Our online interview securely gathers all the information your legal advisor needs from you and uses it to create a draft will for them to review. Online chat is available if you need help.

2. Attend your legal appointment

Book an online video appointment with our legal team or a meeting with your local legal firm in person. Your advisor will explore your wants and needs and explain your options.

3. Receive, sign, and witness your will

Your will comes with instructions on executing it properly. If you choose a participating legal firm, they can help you sign it, witness it, and store it securely for you too.

What you can expect from your legal advisor

A good standard will from our Bequeathed legal team includes up to 30 minutes of advice for free, or 45 minutes if you're a couple. Select this link to read the detail of what will and will not be included for free.

What you get from a legal firm will depend on what type of service you book and will be confirmed in their Client Care Letter.

All our firms are accredited, either by a regulator or through an independent professional standards body. Select this link to read more about the quality assurance of our legal team and our Will For Good legal firms.
