Support the Landmark Trust with your Will For Good
Since 1965, the Landmark Trust has rescued over 200 extraordinary historic buildings from dereliction, offering them as places to stay for self-catering holidays. This vibrant new use provides unforgettable experiences, and an income to ensure they will never again fall into decay. Buildings already saved include picturesque pavilions and medieval long-houses, forts and follies, clan chiefs’ castles and cotton weaver’s cottages, the homes of great writers and the creations of visionary architects.
With over 10,000 listed buildings designated ‘at risk’ in Britain, Landmark can only take on a few each year simply because they do not have the funds to intervene. They have no endowment, and receive little government funding, instead relying on the generosity of individual supporters to fund each new rescue.
There’s no obligation to include a gift in your free will, but you could become part of a building’s story. Helping to preserve these remarkable structures for everyone to enjoy, and ensure traditional skills are passed on to craft apprentices who will care for them for generations to come. Anything you leave makes a vital difference, and ensures our rich architectural heritage continues to thrive.
